Get to Know Zak

Investment Advisor Representative

Beginning as a summer intern in 2017, Zak has steadily expanded his role as the Swiss Army Knife of the Absher team, driven by a simple mission: improving the client experience. Zak’s versatility is his greatest asset; whether he is diving into complex investment research, advising clients or optimizing the firm’s technology and operations, his focus remains on delivering seamless results for the families we serve. His deep integration into the firm’s operations over the years has given him a unique, 360-degree view of the investment process and how to deliver truly meaningful advice.

Zak’s roots are in Raleigh, where he developed a strong work ethic early on while supporting his family’s local business. He further honed his industry expertise working at Wells Fargo’s community bank during college and graduating in 3 years. Having interacted with hundreds of other professionals during his time with Wells Fargo Advisors, Zak gained a unique perspective allowing him to truly understand what makes the Absher Wealth team unique.

After earning his finance degree from NC State, Zak committed to the highest standards of the industry by obtaining the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification and is actively advancing his expertise as a candidate for both the CFP® and CFA® designations to further enhance the strategic value he brings to clients. When he isn’t studying or in the office, you’ll likely find Zak on a basketball court, cruising on his motorcycle, or exploring a new corner of the world with his wife.
